Pre-Release Notes: Upcoming Features and Enhancements 

 
This pre-release note outlines the key updates, new functionalities, bug fixes, and enhancements planned for the next deployment. These changes are primarily focused on improving usability, reporting accuracy, payment processing, and UI/UX. 
 

The features are tailored to enhance POS, Kiosk, digital ordering, and backend operations. Note that some features (e.g., Audit Log) are in final development stages and will be released soon. 
 

1. Easy Combo Setup (Coming Soon) 

Current Flow 

 

Previously, combining two base products into a combo required creating a separate third product and manually adding modifiers one by one. 

The system did not allow selecting products with existing modifiers (paid or optional) to add to a combo. For example, if an existing item had four modifiers, it couldn't be included. 

 

New Functionality 

 

Introduces a high-level "Easy Combo Setup" page where users can select two base products (each potentially with their own base modifiers—paid or optional). 

Paid modifiers: Added to the cart and included in the final product price. 

Optional modifiers: Covered within the base product price. 

Users can now combine these into one combo product seamlessly, retaining all modifiers from the base products. 

This simplifies combo creation without needing a third product, improving efficiency for combo-based menus. 

2. Image Optimization (Coming Soon) 

Issue 

 

Current portrait images (90x60 aspect ratio) for dishes do not display consistently across devices (Kiosk, POS, digital ordering). 

On POS, the product image may be fully visible, but on Kiosk, it could be cropped, making the content unrecognizable. 

 

Enhancement 

 

Integrating cloud-native third-party services with generative fill capabilities to optimize and resize images dynamically. 

Ensures the full product content is visible and not cropped on all devices. 

 

3. Digital Ordering Side: New Design (Coming Soon) 

 

No changes to core functionality. 

UI/UX revamp and upgrades for better user experience. 

Specific updates: Home layout and Active Orders page redesigned for improved navigation and aesthetics. 

 

4. New Login Flow with Option to Load All Profiles (Coming Soon) 

 
Background 

 

Launched 10 days ago: Users log in with individual PINs. 

Feedback: For locations with 10-15 active users, repeated logins are time-consuming. 

 

New Functionality 

 

If an admin logs in, an option to load all user profiles associated with the business location. 

Backend dynamic setting (off by default; enabled for admins). 

Once enabled and admin logs in to POS/Kiosk terminal, all profiles are automatically pulled up. 

Users can then select their profile and proceed without full login. 

 

How to Enable 

 

Navigate to Settings > Business Location > POS Configuration. 

Toggle: "Admin Login -> Load All Profiles." 

Effect: Only applies to admin accounts; loads all tagged user accounts for that location on login. 

 

5. Jiale GST Issue Fix (Coming Soon) 

Issue 

 

Sales Summary Report or Closing Summary Report lacked clear structure for GST (inclusive/exclusive taxes), discounts, and payment breakdowns (cash, card sales). 

 

Fix 

 

Reports now display a proper itemized structure: 

Subtotal first. 

Followed by inclusive/exclusive taxes. 

Then discounts. 

 

Clear breakdown of cash, card sales, etc., for better accuracy and readability. 

 

6. Debit Card Type Missing Issue Fix (Coming Soon) 

Issue 

 

Debit card transactions (Visa, Mastercard, Diners) via All-in-Pay not properly categorized in reports. 

Transactions were lumped under "Card" or "All-in-Pay," without distinguishing card types. 

Sometimes not captured at all. 

 

Fix 

 

Now captures and records specific card types (e.g., Debit Visa) from All-in-Pay responses. 

Aggregates transactions into respective columns (e.g., Visa, Mastercard). 

 

How to Check 

 

Reports > Product Sell Reports > Group by Payments (Daily). 

Select custom date range. 

View breakdowns: Cash, Card, Visa, Union Pay, HitPay, etc. 

Ensures accurate grouping based on actual card type used. 

 

7. Label Printer Enhancement (Coming Soon) 

New Functionality 

 

Special requirement: After every order, print modifiers on thermal labels for products. 

Workflow: Customer requests modifiers > Cashier prints label with modifiers > Sticks to cup > Proceeds to kitchen. 

Helps kitchen staff quickly understand custom orders. 

 

Note: Works only with USB printers (not LAN printers). 

 

8. New Notify URL for AIP Transactions (Coming Soon) 

 
Current Flow 

 

All-in-Pay transactions: Send request, then poll for status. 

Issue: Sometimes payments not captured, leading to incomplete sales; cashiers switch to cash manually. 

 

Enhancement 

 

Introduce NotifyURL in requests: All-in-Pay notifies us directly of transaction status (success/failure). 

Records transactions accordingly in the system. 

Improves reliability, reduces manual interventions, and ensures accurate sales completion. 

 

9. Serving Time Feature (Coming Soon) 

 

Allows setting product availability by specific days and times. 

Navigation: Settings > Products > Edit > Scroll to "Service Days" and "Service Time." 

Effect: Product only visible for sale on selected days/times. 

Ideal for time-limited menu items. 

 

10. Happy Hour Feature (Coming Soon) 

 

Schedule discount periods (e.g., 1-2 hours max) on specific days. 

During happy hour: All added items sold at discounted prices. 

Enabled in non-peak hours to boost sales. 

Navigation: Similar to Serving Time; set days and time windows. 

Applies automatic discounts to qualifying items. 

 

11. Audit Log (Coming Soon) 

 

New feature for enhanced visibility and control over user activities. 

Designed for administrators and multi-outlet businesses. 

The Customers to track actions, improve accountability, and support compliance. 

 

Key Features 

 

Centralized tracking: Captures Create, Update, Delete actions across modules. 

Record details: User name, role, location/outlet, date/time. 

Easy filtering: By location, role, outlet, date range. 

Helps with audits and operational best practices. 

 

Status 

 

In final development; release announcement soon. 

 

12. Image Preview Enhancement 

 

Adds preview functionality for uploaded images in backend. 

Navigation: Settings > Display Images (now shows previews in list view). 

Also in Business Location: CDS, CDS Logo, Success Image, Location Logos, Order Display Images, Order Display Background. 

Effect: View existing uploaded images after saving; easier to verify without re-uploading.
